Graduation day.

Cameras were clicking away, loud chatters and sadness filled the entire hall. The day that Ginny had been awaiting has finally arrived. Today the Graduating students will express their heart felt gratitude towards teachers and friends who have helped them throughout thier secondary school years. Ginny sat sloppily at the back of the hall.

” when will this boring event end? ” she sigh.

She had been gloating over the thoughts that she would soon be able to leave this school, put down all her resposibilities as a secondary four student and move on to tertiary institution. She wanted new friends, a new environment and most of all, a new life. In her early secondary school years, she has met many friends. Those who ostracised her then, have finally gotten what they deserved, their retribution. All 6 of her ex classmates retained and were made to study and face the same boring teachers they have had since secondary one. ” Wow, its so great! My best friend is promoted! whilst those proud peacocks are made to repeat thier third year in this school ” A thought ran through Ginny’s mind. The scene that shows she and her best friend flashed across her mind like a never ending film.

Best friends indeed. All along, the naive girl who have treated kat as her all time best friend has gotten everything wrong. It was so superficial to Ginny’s classmates that kat was just putting on an act.

” Hey Kat! Its finally graduation day! ” Ginny shrieked, ” Rememeber to call me up soon ok! we’ll go out shopping! And Kat, I just wanted to tell you, that you’re the first and and would definitely be the last best friend that i’ve got to know in my secondary school life ” However, the reply that Kat gave was not what Ginny want…

” What! Best friends? I’ve never seen you as my best friend, you’re such a leech, always clinging on to me. I’m never your best friend since day one, i’ve never like you. But you clinged onto me, and i’m thanking god that the time has finally came, i’m graduating and never am i going to see you ever again. ” Kat bellowed.

Ginny has finally understood what her classmates have been warning her about.She did not know such a terrible event would take place on a day that should be filled with happiness. Tears started leaking down her glistering eyes. Her best friend hurt her on her graduation day.

Graduation yesterday, in less than a month time, o levels will be over. Life’s sad for me. haha! i can never imagine how i could actually have the determination to sit and study. its do or die. I’ve transform into a nerdy. LOL! Anyway, things hadnt changed much. I’m still me. Nobody has succeeded in changing me since i’ve set my mind on it. And now, i’ve finally reached my goal. And i know, i can definitely use this strategy to overcome this dark period. i’m going to walk out feeling awesome, and start a new life happily on 1st january 2010.
